The picturesque seaport town of Yarmouth and the colourful French Acadian Shore of Clare is a rich blend of heritage, culture and community spirit.

Little Dolphin sits in the heart of Clare, often referred to as the French Acadian Shore. The Acadian shores have a history dating back over 400 years and contain the oldest Acadian settlements in the province. Clare is renowned for it’s colourful fishing villages, towering churches and the spectacular lighthouses. Yarmouth is the hub of this region.  Just south of Yarmouth is Argyle Township Courthouse in Tusket, the oldest courthouse in Canada, while to the north, tiny villages are overshadowed by lofty churches, such as St. Mary’s Church, the largest wooden church in North America.

The Evangeline Trail passes along some of North America’s earliest European history. It’s a journey that spans 400 years of settlement, a journey that takes you past forts, farms and fishing villages, a journey rich in culture, diversity, charm and natural beauty.

At Little Dolphin, our residents can enjoy the tranquility of the Mavillette Beach and the village of Saint Mary’s Bay. Mavillette Beach Provincial Park boasts 2 km of white sand, sand dunes, salt-water marshes, a bird watching tower with interpretive panels aqnd a picnic area with washroom facilities.
